Speaker 0 00:00:03 Oh,
Speaker 1 00:00:05 The places you'll ho, welcome to Hoves a podcast about the riveting tales of professional. Daters here's your host, Chantel.
Speaker 2 00:00:21 Hello out there. Ho universe. Welcome to episode 17 of ho ventures. Today. I have a guest that I just recently met on Friday when I got back for my travels here in Tampa. Welcome to the show Morgan storm.
Speaker 3 00:00:37 Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 2 00:00:40 Thank you for joining. It was so great to meet you on Friday. What a lovely, uh, little afternoon tea lunch we had at Oxford exchange over in Tampa. Um, just a lovely environment to just sit and chat. We had some girl chat and some tea time. And, uh, you reached out to me while I don't remember. Was I traveling when you reached out to me or not? I think you were, I'm not sure, but she, you told me that you were gonna be in Tampa and you wanted to meet up for lunch. And I was like, oh my God, I love meeting new girls. So we met up for lunch and I invited you on the show. So I'm so excited that you were able to come on in such short notice, because I literally just got back from vacation and I was like, oh yeah, my show. I don't have any guest lined up. I need to. So for joining me, um, so Morgan, where are you currently based?
Speaker 3 00:01:38 I'm currently based out of new Orleans
Speaker 2 00:01:41 New Orleans. Oh my God. The food there. Ugh. I have amazing.
Speaker 3 00:01:45 Memory's so good. It's so good. I,
Speaker 2 00:01:47 The
Speaker 3 00:01:47 Food, my favorite food there is probably, um, surprisingly the bread putting it's just
Speaker 2 00:01:54 Bread, pudding
Speaker 3 00:01:54 Best you wouldn't think so necessarily really, but a lot of places have really fantastic bread putting,
Speaker 2 00:02:01 So, okay. So I have this thing with textures, right. And bread pudding can be like a hit or miss for me because some places have it, like, you know, more of a bread consistency. Mm-hmm <affirmative> perfect. Right. And then I've had some that it's more like too much of a pudding. Yeah. So the bread and the pudding is just so like mushy and I'm like, oh my God, I can't handle it.
Speaker 3 00:02:25 Yeah. I definitely want the, the first ready type consistency. I love the creaminess of it. Um, there's a place in new Orleans called the Bayou wine garden that has like a lavender cream, um, that they use. Ooh. And it's just like figur. Very good.
Speaker 2 00:02:43 So, oh, that sounds <laugh>. Oh, wow. Okay. So I haven't been to new Orleans since what is that? Like 2016, maybe. So apparently I need to take a trip back and like explore some more of the food options because I did not have bread pudding at all. Oh yeah. While I was there.
Speaker 3 00:03:03 Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:03:04 People will. And I think they have,
Speaker 3 00:03:07 Go ahead. People will talk a lot about the banana foster, which is obviously delicious, but uh, if you go slightly, uh, dig a little bit under that, like there's some really, really good options.
Speaker 2 00:03:21 Okay. So I definitely need to go back if anybody wants to fly me there. <laugh> and um, I think they have like more vegan options. Now when I went in 2016, there weren't that many vegan restaurants and my date, um, was not very vegan friendly mm-hmm <affirmative> so I just had to eat whatever I could. Um, yeah. So, yeah.
Speaker 3 00:03:43 Yeah. I definitely think there, there are some better options now. Um, I've definitely seen several, uh, in the French quarter, so you could definitely make a
Speaker 2 00:03:52 That's my favorite place. The French quarter course. Of course, of course. I love everything. French <laugh>. Um, okay, so <laugh>, how long have you been dating professionally?
Speaker 3 00:04:05 I've been dating professionally for a little over a year now.
Speaker 2 00:04:09 Oh my God. You're still new.
Speaker 3 00:04:11 Yes. Yes. You're
Speaker 2 00:04:12 Still a baby help. I love it.
Speaker 3 00:04:15 It's
Speaker 2 00:04:16 But I, you know, I just, I love meeting people when they're early in their career. Cuz I just, I just love watching the progression of how you like, you know, somebody reaches out to me and they're still new and there's, you know, they have all these questions and then seeing them like a year, year or two from now and how much they've grown in the time. Um, since they started, it's just, I just love watching people progress. It's such a great feeling to be part of that journey, you know? I can't wait.
Speaker 3 00:04:44 Absolutely. And I, I,
Speaker 2 00:04:46 I mean, you're doing well already. Yeah. Like you're already doing fantastic. You're already getting fly me to use and all sorts of things. So I mean, this is great. This is fantastic.
Speaker 3 00:04:55 Yeah, absolutely. I, um, am definitely in that position of knowing I'm doing pretty well and also knowing that there's a lot still to know. So I'm also very excited to see where things go
Speaker 2 00:05:07 Well, so seven, seven years in the game, I still feel like I learn something new every day and I also love learning and just kind of reinventing myself all the time and just kind of switching things up. So I feel like you're always going to learn, but you know, the learning that you're doing now versus like the very first day you entered, it's like so different, right? Yes.
Speaker 3 00:05:29 <laugh>,
Speaker 2 00:05:29 That's great. Okay. So you have like, one of you have one of my favorite adventure stories because I love these kind of adventures. Um, but before you share who planned this wonderful date,
Speaker 3 00:05:44 So this was a combination, um, planning, uh, it's actually probably one of my favorite ways to plan a date. Um, he mm-hmm, <affirmative> kind of presented me some options in terms of what we would, where we would go and the type of activities that we would do based on that location. And then I was able to choose, um, based on those things. Um,
Speaker 2 00:06:08 Oh,
Speaker 3 00:06:08 Fun. Do you want me to tell you the options?
Speaker 2 00:06:11 Oh, well, sure. What were your options?
Speaker 3 00:06:13 So, uh, the first option was to hang out in Boston and to have kind of like a very city life, um, experience, um, peeing on the boardwalk, going out into the ocean and like wheel watching other, um, things like that.
Speaker 2 00:06:31 Oh, okay.
Speaker 3 00:06:32 Uh, the second option was to go to port's mouth, um, and have like a very, either that or like Salem and having a very tourist experience, um, doing a lot of, uh, ghost tours and uh, just kind of a lot of
Speaker 2 00:06:48 Thes,
Speaker 3 00:06:49 Like the, the mythology around Salem.
Speaker 2 00:06:53 Okay. That sounds fun.
Speaker 3 00:06:55 Yes. I was very attracted to all these options, so <laugh> uh, and then the third option was going mountain Hampshire and uh, hiking a lot being in nature. So all three of them were all right. Fantastic. <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:07:15 So which one did you choose?
Speaker 3 00:07:17 I ended up choosing, going into the white mountains and, um, I, the thing that made me choose that was the idea of, uh, waking up and seeing the sunrise over the mountains, which, you know, in the mountains usually takes
Speaker 2 00:07:32 Lot longer it's so it it's so early. Oh my God. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:07:36 It's so <laugh>, well, I'm definitely a morning person and I know that that's not necessarily you <laugh>,
Speaker 2 00:07:42 I am not a morning person. Like not even a little bit. Yeah. But how beautiful was it? It,
Speaker 3 00:07:47 It was so beautiful to just like, cause it was cold too when I went, uh, so it was like be able to bundle up and have hot coffee, um, and just, you know, sit there for quite a while. Um, it was so relaxing and lovely.
Speaker 2 00:08:01 Oh, that sounds so lovely. So was this your first date with
Speaker 3 00:08:04 Him? This was not my first date with him. Um, okay. We had met, um, actually in Florida about nine months earlier. And so mm-hmm <affirmative> um, this was our second date, but we had chatted, um, online several times in between these two dates. Um, oh, so he was definitely, um, interested in me coming to him a lot earlier, but this was, uh, the first time we were able to get the dates, right.
Speaker 2 00:08:34 Yeah. Oh, well that's so fun.
Speaker 3 00:08:36 Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:08:39 Okay. So I went hiking in New Hampshire with the date. This isn't the same client. I believe our clients are different. Um, and so I tried to get up cuz I've never seen like a sunrise over the mountains and I wanted to see it so badly. And so I woke up like extra early to see the sun rise over the mountains. And I was like, um, nobody, I guess I wasn't really thinking about it. Um, being from Florida and it's completely flat. So when the sun rises, the sun just rises. Right. And it took like 90 minutes for the sun to finally peak over the mountain. Like I fell asleep in my chair, looking out the window, just waiting for the sun to rise. And I was like, why didn't anybody tell me that I like don't get up right when it rises. Right. Like wait about an hour. And then you'll, I was like, oh my God. So I'm gonna stick to sunset over the
Speaker 3 00:09:32 Mountains, which are just as
Speaker 2 00:09:34 Beautiful sunrises. Listen, sunrises are not for me unless I'm already awake. And then plan to go to sleep after the sun has rise <laugh> cause listen, me waking up early. Oh no, this. Mm. So I'm glad that you got to see it and you enjoyed it because I did, I, it was beautiful once it happened, but I did not enjoy the process of getting up and waiting for this dance, sunset, like
Speaker 3 00:09:57 OK.
Speaker 2 00:09:58 <laugh> <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:10:00 And for me, I was definitely already kind of like awake, ready to go as that process was really oh yeah. I wake up quite early. So, um, it was
Speaker 2 00:10:08 So, oh my God. Bless your heart. <laugh> bless you. I'm like, listen, I have tried my whole life to be a morning person. I have tried so hard. I did all the things that the books told me to do of like, you know, going to bed early and like, don't drink caffeine by this time and blah, blah, blah. And you know, everybody's like the signs of a successful person. You know, they wake up at like four or five in the morning and here I am, <laugh> trying to be like, okay, I wanna be successful. And I'm like, listen, if I get up that early, I am not productive at all. I am wasting my time. Everybody else's time. Like it's just not happening. So I'm always envious of like morning people, because I wish I could be. I'm more of a night person. Like I'll go to bed at four or five in the morning working on stuff. I will not wake up at that time. Ugh. I hate waking up.
Speaker 3 00:11:01 I
Speaker 2 00:11:02 It's not, I mean, it's just not worth it, you know?
Speaker 3 00:11:04 Right. I wish I was a little bit more of like a mid afternoon person, you know, just like sleeping in until oh, that's <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:11:12 That? Listen, that is me all day. Like I like noon is when my brain is like, let's go, okay. Like, let's get so much done before noon. I'm like, just bring me tea in bed. That's all I'm good for right now. <laugh> unless I'm catching a flight, I can, I can wake up to catch a flight, but that's that's about it. Like, and maybe no, just catching flights. Yeah. I'm not motivated by much except traveling. Okay. All right. So your date, you woke up and you saw the sunrise and amazing. So what other amazing things happened? Start from the beginning. Like where did you guys meet? Right. How did it happen?
Speaker 3 00:11:56 So, uh, uh, he picks me up from the airport in Boston and, uh, unfortunately the, my flight was delayed several hours and so, um, oh no, we had these like lovely dinner reservations that we weren't able to keep. Um, oh yeah. So, but we, but we made the best of it. We had a great, um, drive out into New Hampshire from Boston. Um, and we chatted caught up quite a bit. And then, um, we went to, we were staying at this resort, um, in the mountains. And so we had dinner there, um, and spent the evening kind of just like chatting by the fire pits and doing kind of your classic, like making s'mores and
Speaker 2 00:12:43 Oh, fun. That's romantic. It
Speaker 3 00:12:44 Was, was so fun and romantic and you know, again, the sunset took forever that evening. And so as we were by the fire pit, you know, we had beautiful, beautiful colors happening in the sky. And so even though we didn't make our dinner,
Speaker 2 00:12:59 Mountain, mountain sunsets are
Speaker 3 00:13:00 Gorgeous, so amazing. Um, I, as much as I wanted to eat at that restaurant, we, I had so much fun doing, uh, the fire pit thing. So,
Speaker 2 00:13:12 So this, so this was a restaurant at the resort. Was this the, um, like the white mountain national resort or something? It's a big white resort right in the, just in the middle of nowhere.
Speaker 3 00:13:23 Oh, I know what you're talking about. And we drove past that one. That one, we, I, I sit, we stayed at the mountain view grand.
Speaker 2 00:13:31 Oh, okay. Okay. So I stayed at that white one. Um, so you miss your dinner reservations. So what did you have for dinner? Cause that's what I'm concerned about.
Speaker 3 00:13:42 <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:13:44 Did he just feed you? S'mores because we all know on this show Chantel and like don't, don't just feed me snacks. Okay.
Speaker 3 00:13:51 No, no, no. We, um, I think that there, the, the resort has some like really good burger with, um, ironically enough had occasion cooked carrots, uh, which I know it doesn't sound amazing, but they were actually quite good. Um, and
Speaker 2 00:14:09 No, it actually does sound good. I'm, I'm pretty intrigued of what Cajun carrots would taste.
Speaker 3 00:14:14 Like. I, someone from new Orleans, they didn't taste like Cajun much at all, but like they were spice.
Speaker 2 00:14:20 So they just, they just named it. Yeah. They threw a little spice and was like, these are Cajun now bitches. Right.
Speaker 3 00:14:26 That's exactly what it was. And I was just like, uh, this has some like salt and pepper and like paprika <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:14:33 Oh, is, oh no. Is it like a salt and pepper to taste kind of thing?
Speaker 3 00:14:37 I actually don't know the spices that were on it, but it, it was quite good, but I'm not a cook, so I have no idea.
Speaker 2 00:14:43 Oh, okay. Okay. So you got, so you had just dinner, like by the fire pit? Yeah. Instead of like in the restaurant at the resort.
Speaker 3 00:14:51 Right, right, right.
Speaker 2 00:14:53 Okay. Well at least you were well fed. That's my number one concern always is that we're well fed on these journeys. Okay. Yes. Like y'all, can't be feeding us snacks and treats and thinking that we're gonna be just happy the whole time.
Speaker 3 00:15:05 No, we trail mix is not gonna get me through you.
Speaker 2 00:15:08 It's not gonna get me anywhere. Okay. People let this be a warning. I need proper food. I'm a grown woman. I am not a child. I am a grown full adult human being. Okay. So we fed you, well, you were happy and you had s'mores for dessert. Yes.
Speaker 3 00:15:26 Yes.
Speaker 2 00:15:27 Ooh, lovely.
Speaker 3 00:15:28 Um, and because I'm a morning person, I, that means I like to go to bed someone early. So we called it at night after the s'mores, um,
Speaker 2 00:15:38 Oh, fun.
Speaker 3 00:15:40 And uh, one of the things I always, uh, ask for in my flying meeting, you dates is I have at least two hours of me time. Um, mm-hmm <affirmative> and so the next morning, uh, he had scheduled, uh, a 90 minute massage for me.
Speaker 2 00:15:57 Oh yeah. Oh my God. That's so
Speaker 3 00:15:59 Sweet. It was so sweet. And it was really
Speaker 2 00:16:01 Perfect. We like him a lot. Right. We like him so much. Oh my God. That's so lovely. So, okay. So how many days was this date? I forgot to ask you that.
Speaker 3 00:16:11 So it was a 48 hour date, but I ended up getting in around four o'clock. Um,
Speaker 2 00:16:18 Yeah. Okay. So 48 hours of adventure. That's perfect. Yeah. That's like, you can do a lot in 48 hours. So, so day one, you guys hung out at the resort and then day two is when you did all of your adventures and activities.
Speaker 3 00:16:32 Yes, exactly.
Speaker 2 00:16:33 Okay. So you started off the day with a 90 minute massage. Yes.
Speaker 3 00:16:37 Which, oh my gosh. Like if you
Speaker 2 00:16:40 Want, sounds like heaven.
Speaker 3 00:16:41 Yeah, absolutely. It just made me primed for the whole day. Uh, absolutely loved it and it was perfect for him too. He got to kind of like catch up on a few like business emails while I was out mm-hmm <affirmative> um, and so when we joined back together, we were both really ready for us to kind of forget about any responsibilities we had and have a great time.
Speaker 2 00:17:03 Oh, that is the best. And like the fact, the fact that he thought of that for you yes. To like relax you while he has to catch up on some work emails is like perfect. Because some people don't consider that. Right. You know, he was like, they just like, oh, leave you in the room and like, just leave you in the room. <laugh> right. It's like, what am I supposed to be doing right now? You know? Right.
Speaker 3 00:17:26 And, and, you know, if you have like a, a, like a email that you need to send really quick, obviously do that in the moment, but
Speaker 2 00:17:33 Of course. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:17:34 But if you have like a series of like tasks you need to do, um, for your business, like setting me up to go do either like a quick trip around town shopping or like doing a massage or some other planned activity is just so nice.
Speaker 2 00:17:51 Oh, absolutely. I mean, like we get it. Um, I think what makes us great at our jobs is that we are not like in a typical dating situation. Um, you know, phone call might come up, email might come up and, you know, normal vanilla dating. It's like, oh my God, how rude he answered his phone during our date. You know, he should be totally focused on me. Like we're professionals, we understand one, you have to make the money, you know, to date <laugh>. So we don't care that you have work, you know, but if you have, if it, you know, if it's not just a quick email or quick phone call and you need to dedicate like some actual time, you know, an hour or so to getting your work done in the morning, that's absolutely fine. But just make sure you have something for us to do while you're doing that. Or at least warn us that it might happen. So I can be like, okay, well, this will be a great time for me to go take a walk outside or, you know, this is a great time for me to have my me time. Yes. You know, just communicate communication is so sexy. And, you know, we don't ask for much, you know, just communication. So he did it perfect for you. I love this so much for you.
Speaker 3 00:19:02 Yes. It was so lovely. Um, and of course, one of the lovely things about being away from each other is that I got to come back and tell him about all the things that I did while he was working. Cuz I did a tour of the ground as well and really came back and I was just like, oh, I found these things. We have to go check them out. Um, it was great moment of like being excited for each other.
Speaker 2 00:19:30 Yeah. That's fantastic. I love it. So, okay. So after your massage, you're, you're relaxed. You're rejuvenated. I mean, you had sounds like a nightmare day of traveling, which is, it's so common right now. It's all the flights and stuff being canceled. So I'm sure so many listeners can relate to this. Yeah. Um, so, so you had that stressful day of traveling and now you're relaxed, you're rejuvenated. So what did you do for the rest of your adventures on that day?
Speaker 3 00:19:59 So we drove out to, uh, go hiking. Um, we decided
Speaker 2 00:20:05 I love hiking.
Speaker 3 00:20:06 It was so good. Uh, definitely since you're in the mountains, you should go do that. If hiking is your style, we picked a trail that wasn't too difficult. Um, it had several waterfalls and, um, have an overlooking view at the top. Uh mm-hmm <affirmative> so it took two hours and, uh, it was, there were very few people on the trail and so it was nice and quiet and like almost like
Speaker 2 00:20:33 That's my
Speaker 3 00:20:34 Favorite sound. It was mm-hmm. <affirmative> lovely. Um,
Speaker 2 00:20:39 So is this your first time hiking
Speaker 3 00:20:41 In that mountain experience?
Speaker 2 00:20:44 Okay. So you've been hiking before, so this isn't
Speaker 3 00:20:46 New to you? No, no. I love hiking.
Speaker 2 00:20:48 Oh, fantastic. Oh good.
Speaker 3 00:20:50 Uh, and part of the reason I picked this date out of the three options was cuz it's been so long since of gone hiking in mountains.
Speaker 2 00:20:59 Mm-hmm <affirmative>
Speaker 3 00:21:00 Uh, so we had this two hour hike, um, and we were planning on getting some, um, getting lunch after this two hour hike, there was, um, a dinner train that was very close to the hike that we went to mm-hmm <affirmative> but our, our luck was against us on this one too. Uh, we, we apparently were about like 20 minutes late. Uh,
Speaker 2 00:21:28 No <laugh> no.
Speaker 3 00:21:31 So we missed the train and it would've been so lovely. Um, you know, it's one of those trains that like, you know, you actually go around and see all the scenery while you're fed. Um oh,
Speaker 2 00:21:41 Like it actually moves.
Speaker 3 00:21:43 Yes. Yes.
Speaker 2 00:21:44 Okay. So I drove, we drove by this dinner train and when I went, um, on my date and he told me about it, but I don't recall him telling me that it actually like
Speaker 3 00:21:56 Moves.
Speaker 2 00:21:57 So I thought it was just, I thought it was just like a train that you, you know, just kind like you sit
Speaker 3 00:22:02 There
Speaker 2 00:22:02 A train style. I didn't, yeah. <laugh> like, I, I thought it was like a theme. I didn't know, like it actually moved and stuff. That's so cool. And I'm so upset that you missed that.
Speaker 3 00:22:11 I know. I know. And it was just one of those, like we had so much fun hiking itself that we kind of just lost track mm-hmm <affirmative> of time. We got to the top and we just sat there for obviously a little bit longer than we should have, but we just, you know, I couldn't rip myself away from the view. So, um, you know, I am the one hand it's like a little bit sad, but also, uh, you know, I was very in the moment, so
Speaker 2 00:22:37 Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:22:38 Uh, so we missed that lunch and so <laugh>, we ended up, uh, as you know, it's, you know, a pretty rural area. And so we kind of drove into one of the really small towns. Um, mm-hmm <affirmative> that was close by and there was a Tavern that was there. Uh, so we got to kind of experience the like local beer.
Speaker 2 00:23:00 Yeah. The more local
Speaker 3 00:23:01 Scene. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:23:03 How was the food? I didn't find the food that appealed all
Speaker 3 00:23:06 <laugh>, uh, it was, you know, kind of a dive bar. And so the food was, you know, very dive bar esque, uh, which,
Speaker 2 00:23:14 Oh, no Greece,
Speaker 3 00:23:16 A little bit, little bit Creasy <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:23:19 Do they at least have French fries? Cause I love French fries. Like I can eat French fries anytime of the day.
Speaker 3 00:23:23 Oh. So I love dive bars as long as like they're not my main like source of, of food. If I had eat at dive bars consistently, like that becomes the problem, but ha having a dive die far once was very, very fine. And we had, you know, okay. A lot of, uh, I was super hungry after the hike and so I was just like, I don't care. What's in front of me. Just <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:23:47 Right. Like super starving after two, was it two hours? Like one way or two hour round trip? I,
Speaker 3 00:23:53 It was two hours up, so,
Speaker 2 00:23:56 Oh, okay. So this is more like, like three and a half, four hours than total.
Speaker 3 00:24:00 Yeah. So it was a long,
Speaker 2 00:24:01 Oh, did you, you didn't bring a snack.
Speaker 3 00:24:03 She brought a few snacks. Um, and I ended up eating them all on the trail <laugh> so
Speaker 2 00:24:11 I, listen, I, I bring like apples bananas because by the time I make it to the top to see a waterfall, I'm usually starving to death. Mm-hmm <affirmative> and I'm like, I might murder somebody on my way down if I don't get food in my system, like right now. So <laugh>, I always hike with snacks. Like I learned my lesson <laugh> I learned a big lesson. One time I did not have snacks. And I was like, I think I'm gonna kill somebody. So yeah.
Speaker 3 00:24:37 Yeah. She brought some fruit and like, you know, one of those like protein GRA vanilla bars, um, lots of water. So it like definitely curbs the hunger, but the hunger was still there.
Speaker 2 00:24:50 I know you need a prop. That's what, this is exactly why I tell people. Okay. You have to give us a proper meal. We can't live off of snacks, especially if we're going hiking.
Speaker 3 00:25:01 <laugh> OK.
Speaker 2 00:25:04 Like I think, I think somebody may have learned their lessons, but
Speaker 3 00:25:08 <laugh> I
Speaker 2 00:25:08 Dunno. Um, yeah. So anyway, so the dive bar was great. You had decent dive bar food. Yeah. So they have fried mushrooms because that's the only reason I like to visit dive bars is because they always have fried mushrooms.
Speaker 3 00:25:23 I don't remember fried mushrooms. Um, I definitely opted for the French fries. Uh <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:25:29 That that's like my, like, I don't even care for dive bars. Like I don't care about beer. I don't care about like, um, like really strong alcoholic beverages, you know? Like most dive bars. Think they're hooking you up by giving you like extra alcohol. And I'm like, I don't like the taste of alcohol. And like the only reason I go to a dive bar is to see a metal show or to get fried mushrooms because I cannot find fried, find fried mushrooms if it's not a dive bar.
Speaker 3 00:25:57 That's so funny.
Speaker 2 00:25:59 I, I know
Speaker 3 00:26:00 That's, I don't know if I've, I've never made that connection before now I'm gonna go. And I'm telling you,
Speaker 2 00:26:08 That's I'm telling and some dive bars have better fried mushrooms than others. And now I'm trying to remember. I haven't been to a dive bar in so long and I'm trying to remember this one that had like the best fried mushrooms. Like they weren't just like the frozen kind. They were like really good ones. Oh my God. I'm gonna have to scan my brain cuz now I need to go on a fried mushroom tour.
Speaker 3 00:26:32 Well, they're so good. Like stuffed mushrooms, fried mushrooms. Amazing.
Speaker 2 00:26:38 Yes, exactly. Okay. So after the dive bar, um, did like, is it like one of those dive bars that just have like the jukebox that you play music on?
Speaker 3 00:26:48 It was actually for being a small town. It was actually a pretty big space. Uh, so we had like an outside patio that was by the river and so, oh, it
Speaker 2 00:26:58 Was actually pretty
Speaker 3 00:27:00 Nice. Uh, and so there were, there's like, I think, I don't think there was any music playing. Um, and uh, we mostly just like heard the Creek running or I guess it was a river, the river like noise around us.
Speaker 2 00:27:17 Oh, that's so perfect though. Like sometimes like if I don't wanna listen to music, I just wanna hear nature. Yes. And since you guys were in like the perfect spot, like who cares about music when there's this beautiful sound coming from the rushing water? Oh, that sounds so
Speaker 3 00:27:32 Lovely. It was so perfect. Like it was one of those accidents. That's like, oh, I'm still the like sad about the train, but this is actually really nice.
Speaker 2 00:27:40 You know, sometimes like I'm not a very good planner. Um, I hate planning. I just, I don't have time for it sometimes. Like, I'll go somewhere and then like, I have no idea what's going on and I'll figure it out on the fly. And um, and it's usually every time I plan something, something like is disappointing happens like, you know, you missed the train thing by 20 minutes and it's disappointing, but then you found this other place that was like a perfect substitute for the train thing. Absolutely. And it's like, did you like, did you really miss the train that much? I don't know because you had a great, you had a great time, so it doesn't matter anymore. Right? Like you wish you had the experience, but something even better happened. Um, so that, that's just like always so amazing when stuff that's not planned happens and it works out perfectly.
Speaker 3 00:28:30 Absolutely. And it just gives us an excuse to either go back and do the things that we missed or, uh, do those things in different location. It'll be
Speaker 2 00:28:41 Going back is always, I mean, missing out on something to go back, it's always a good excuse
Speaker 3 00:28:46 To go back
Speaker 2 00:28:47 <laugh> especially because like, he'll be thinking about like, he'll be thinking about you. Yes. You know, the next time and he'll probably fly you up again because that was something that you guys missed out together.
Speaker 3 00:29:01 Mm-hmm <affirmative>
Speaker 2 00:29:01 So, you know, so sometimes life just works out the way it should.
Speaker 3 00:29:05 Exactly. And he said that he had never been on a dinner train before. And so we were both very excited to experience it. So I think that he's, I know, uh, definitely gonna, we're definitely gonna do it at some point <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:29:19 I mean, I've never done it either. It's like, I've always wanted to do one of those. And um, I know we down here in Florida, we had like those, um, mystery dinner, trains, you know, where they have like the whole, like the dinner and the, um, like the murder mystery thing, like who, who did it. And I can't decide if I wanna do it or not. Like sometimes I just wanna eat dinner and relax, and then other times I wanna solve the murder, you know? So I'm, I need to do one of those, but that, it just sounds so fun. Just doing something that's slightly different than, you know, the normal dinner date that we usually do. We love creativity guys. Like that's one thing that we love. Like if you have any idea where it's like, oh, I wonder if she would be interested. I would probably say 99% of the time, your date will be interested because we, we do so many dinner dates that we do like to do things that are outside of the norm. Yes. Just to switch it up a little bit. So don't ever be afraid to ask your date about some crazy idea. You may think it's crazy and it's like, oh, yay. This sounds so exciting to share with everybody, this wonderful adventure that we went on. So, um, so speaking of,
Speaker 2 00:30:35 Of you having to do the train thing again, have you guys set any plans for future date?
Speaker 3 00:30:41 I think that we are going to shoot for about, um, every four months or so. Okay. Uh, the real,
Speaker 2 00:30:51 That's a nice schedule.
Speaker 3 00:30:52 Yeah. And the, the only question is whether we'll go back to new England or if we'll pick a new part of the country, um,
Speaker 2 00:31:01 Well that's always exciting.
Speaker 3 00:31:03 Yes. And so, no matter what we'll do, um, obviously he showed himself to be great at planning and, you know, we plan this together. Um, so we both would have a ton of fun. So I think whatever we do, yeah. We'll have a great time.
Speaker 2 00:31:16 It sounds like it. So did anything else happen on your 48 hour adventure you'd like to share?
Speaker 3 00:31:22 Uh, so he drove me back to Boston, um, on the mm-hmm <affirmative> next morning. Um, and he, uh, we had dinner or sorry we had lunch in Boston and he, um, had me try authentic new England clam chowder, but
Speaker 2 00:31:43 Oh, how was it? It,
Speaker 3 00:31:44 It was so never, it was so good. So
Speaker 2 00:31:47 Was it, I, it was something I like when I did eat meat, I was like, the, I must have like, had like smelt it at a really bad restaurant or like a can of soup or something. And it S smelled so off putting to me, but everybody talks about how amazing it is.
Speaker 3 00:32:03 So I grew up in the Midwest. And if you had asked me up until this point, if clam chowder is good, I would've told you that it's trash. Uh <laugh> but, so I was like very hesitant to, to have this, but I tried it and it was absolutely delicious. And, um, I, I would definitely do it again. In fact, we had this like kind of indepth conversation about like white clam chowder versus red clown chowder, which is apparently big in New York and
Speaker 2 00:32:34 Red clam chowder. I didn't even know that was a thing.
Speaker 3 00:32:36 Tomato based
Speaker 2 00:32:37 Tomato based.
Speaker 3 00:32:38 Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:32:39 That sounds like a wannabe gumbo.
Speaker 3 00:32:41 Yeah. Yeah. He was describing it to me and I was just like, I have no interest in, in eating that <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:32:46 Like, how, like, I aren't there rules to this, anybody out there foody knows that like isn't like a white base would be the chowder and like any sort of like red base would be like a gumbo, like, are there rules to this?
Speaker 3 00:33:02 I don't know. I do feel like it should have a different name because it sounds like there's no cream involved and
Speaker 2 00:33:07 Right.
Speaker 3 00:33:08 No potato. And so like what, what is <laugh> what is happening here? Is it really a
Speaker 2 00:33:13 Shout? I mean, because I mean, right. Cause even like, even like vegan CERs that I've had, there's still white, like a potato CTER or corn CTER or something like that. Right, right. Like they're white based. I feel like if it's red it's like it's soup or gumbo. Like what are they like? It's vegetable, seafood, soup <laugh> or gumbo soup. Like not chowder. I dunno. That just seems New York. You guys need to rename your chowder. Okay. To soup, to clam, to clam soup. Okay. Go your clam bakes or whatever you guys have up there on the Jersey shores rename it. <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:33:56 Uh, we had just like such a lovely time. Um, actually, uh, cause we spent like quite a bit of time in the car going through all, um, all our locations, especially driving to you and from Boston mm-hmm <affirmative> we ended up having some like in depth conversations about music and he shared some of his favorites with me and oh, it was a very fun way to kind of like, get, get to know each other in new, different ways. Um,
Speaker 2 00:34:23 Yes. I love having music conversations. It's like one of my favorite things.
Speaker 3 00:34:27 So he showed me or he played the album fear in OUM by tool and so tool. Yeah. It was just like such a fun, like, you know, heavy metal experience and then just like beautiful mountains all around me. It was just, <laugh> like a lot of energy. And then a lot of just like gorgeousness.
Speaker 2 00:34:49 Yeah. Like it's like, so peace and calm. But inside the car it's like insanity. Yeah. I
Speaker 3 00:34:54 Love that. It was so fun.
Speaker 2 00:34:56 <laugh> that's just, that describes my life. <laugh> um, <laugh> so, okay. So I recently, like I like every couple of months I go through my entire like, uh, iTunes library and listen from like every single thing I have on my phone from starting from artist a all the way down. So I recently like made it to tool and I started listening to it and I was like, you know, I really like tool and all, but I feel like tool is something that I might need to be like stoned to really appreciate on the level that other people appreciate them on. Like, don't get me wrong. I love them. I still wanna see them and see them live. I haven't seen them live yet. But when people are like, tool is amazing tool as God, you know, all this, you know, tool is just the greatest thing ever.
Speaker 2 00:35:49 I'm like, I'm starting to notice a trend. All the people that have said they're usually like, like they love to do shrooms and smoke a lot of weed. Yes. And I'm like, I get it. I get it now. Like you need to, you need to be like UNS some sort of high to appreciate tool at the level that other people appreciate them. Yeah. Cause yeah. Cause some of the songs I have to skip by, I cannot listen to an album from start to finish. I'm like, what am I in the middle of like the south American jungle. <laugh> about to take Iowa star or something. <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:36:25 Yeah. There's definitely moments where he's just like, all right, this song is gonna start and I need to give you like a 32nd to, to like minute preview and explain to you what's gonna happen. So you understand,
Speaker 2 00:36:36 And then it's gonna be 20 minutes long. <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:36:39 Exactly. <laugh> and I loved it cause he was just like, get ready. The song's about to shift, but it's the same song. Like it's gonna blow your mind. And I was like, I'm ready. I'm so ready.
Speaker 2 00:36:50 Yeah. And it it's the same exact song. Like I'm like, wait, this is the same song. It hasn't end shoutouts to all yeah. Like tool fans, please, please don't come for me and be like, you just like trash music. They get really, they get really upset if you don't like just, you know, worship the penises of the whole band, you know <laugh> and they'll be like, they attack you. I've had so many people attack me online for my music choices. Aww. And I'm like, and I'm like, yeah. And you still haven't even heard of the artist's murder. So who's the lamo now. Right. All right. So anyway, so moving on. So you had this amazing 48 hour date and you've been, you're still a baby hoe and you've been doing this for, um, about a year, um, professionally. Um, so have you been able to treat yourself yet, like with a luxury item from your money after you've paid up all of your bills and started saving and stuff? Have you gotten yourself any luxury item yet?
Speaker 3 00:37:53 Yes. So, uh,
Speaker 2 00:37:55 There, what is it? There's
Speaker 3 00:37:57 Um, this really, really luxury beha that I had my eye on for actually quite a few years,
Speaker 2 00:38:06 It's save the bees,
Speaker 3 00:38:08 Save the bees and also make your own honey, cuz it is delicious.
Speaker 2 00:38:14 Wait a minute, are you're doing this so that you can make your own honey?
Speaker 3 00:38:17 Not only make my own honey, but make my own need.
Speaker 2 00:38:22 I'm so jealous. That is amazing. Okay. Can I, if you don't mind me asking yes, because I don't know anything about, I wanna save the bees and everything. I just don't wanna do it personally, but I will donate money to save them. You know what I'm saying? Mm-hmm <affirmative> um, so I don't know anything about like beehives and purchasing like luxury beehives. How much is like one of these luxury beehives run?
Speaker 3 00:38:46 It's like a regular beehive is like media hundred $50. Um, so it's very reasonable. The one that I got was $700. Whoa. Yes.
Speaker 2 00:38:59 It's like, okay, but we're saving, we're saving, we're saving.
Speaker 3 00:39:03 And the third marketing, like the way that the beehive is, um, created the regular kind of $150 beehive, you have to crack it open and you're doing a lot of damage to the bees to check on them and like make sure that they're healthy and also getting the honey and this flow hive, this flow hive, like you just actually turn a tap and the um, the hive kind of breaks open and lets the honey drain out without disturbing the bees at all.
Speaker 2 00:39:38 Oh we love that for the bees.
Speaker 3 00:39:39 Yes. It's very safe. Okay. You don't have to smoke them at all.
Speaker 2 00:39:45 It's if anybody, if anybody out there wants to raise bees so that I can get some fresh honey, <laugh> let me know. And I will donate a lovely hive because I don't wanna have the bees myself. I'm like, I, I love them, but I'm also terrified of them. I've been stung before and it doesn't end well for me. So I'm terrified of being stung by bees again. Um, but I would love to help save the bees. So if I can donate to anybody to help save the bees, please let me know, reach out. <laugh> seriously. We gotta save. We've
Speaker 3 00:40:21 Gotta save the bees. We've gotta, um, grow more flowers so I can make their pollen
Speaker 2 00:40:27 That I think that is such a lovely gift to yourself. You're you gifted yourself with something luxurious that you've wanted while also giving back to the planet. And now I feel bad about myself because I'm like, did I give anything back to the planet? What, some of the first things that I did for myself, like now I probably just made the planet worse by getting on a plane and using jet fuel.
Speaker 3 00:40:55 Well, we all get there eventually, you know? Uh, and I've always, just really loved the kind of, um, like I love like sitting in gardens and like watching bees kind of like fly back and forth and I've always been attracted to like, you know, butterfly gardens and a lot of those. See,
Speaker 2 00:41:15 I that see, I love that you got me right there. I love gardens. Like my dream home. Eventually when I get one I'm gonna like have this beautiful garden, like I already planned it out. Right. So I can be doing yoga in the morning and have butterflies. I don't want the beef. I know the be will come. I won't do anything to prevent them, but I'm not gonna do anything on purpose to attract them. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I love them. I appreciate them. We need them to save the planet. I just don't want them in my garden. <laugh> because I'm like, they're afraid of me. I'm afraid of them. I wanna respect their space. Right,
Speaker 3 00:41:54 Right. Absolutely. Yeah. And if you don't want them in your garden, that totally makes sense. No judgment. Um, I, I just, you know, like I, my perfect afternoon is just like having a book outside in that little garden, watching them make their honey.
Speaker 2 00:42:14 Aw, that's really sweet. Well, send me videos or pictures or whatever you want of your beehive. I would love to see it. I, I don't think I've ever met anyone that has had a beehive. Oh. So that, that was very interesting to learn. I think I love this about you and I love this for the planet that more people are getting involved in trying to save the bees other than just running their mouth about it. Like I do, because that's all I'm do. I'm not doing anything to help them. I'm just running my mouth about it. So I need to get out there and actually do something about it. Okay. Like little MIS hypocrite over here. Um, talking about myself, everybody. Um, okay. So that, I think that's a great gift. So where can the listeners find out more about you?
Speaker 3 00:42:55 Yes.
